hp's notebook in the market

HP today launched five new members to its family of HP Pavilion dv Series Entertainment Notebook PCs, breaking new ground with a combination of advanced entertainment features and cutting-edge performance capabilities, designed to match the lifestyle requirements of today’s consumer.

From the slim and lightweight HP Pavilion dv2 to the robust and power-packed HP Pavilion dv7, the range brings together a full spectrum of multimedia technologies and proprietary innovations including HP MediaSmart and HP ProtectSmart. Unique to the HP Pavilion dv Series, each notebook also sports a lustrous glossy finishing in a choice of stunning Espresso Black or Moonlight White HP Imprints.

Especially noteworthy is the HP Pavilion dv3 Entertainment Notebook PC. With a 13.3-inch diagonal LED widescreen display and the new 16:9 aspect ratio, consumers can enjoy High-Definition content in its native format without the hassle of re-scaling. The high-speed eSATA interface also enables swift and easy connection, access and data transfer to external storage devices.

“HP is in touch with the evolving aspirations of customers, and we are pushing the boundaries of design and innovation to deliver on the wants of consumers today," said Chin Hon Cheng, vice president, Notebook Business Unit, Personal Systems Group, HP Asia Pacific and Japan. “With this launch, we are taking the next big step to deliver a full range of performance-centric yet stylish computing options to complement every personality, lifestyle and budget.”

Built to deliver the ultimate in entertainment computing experiences, the HP Pavilion dv Series is equipped with HP’s proprietary MediaSmart software and High-Definition playback through internal or external Blu-Ray optical drives. With a variety of high-capacity hard drive options – up to 500 gigabytes, and even 1 terabyte on the HP Pavilion dv7 – consumers can take even the largest digital libraries with them on-the-go, with the added assurance that their hard drives are protected from damage with HP’s ProtectSmart software. Applications like Windows Vista® further ensure that consumers have the tools they need to be productive at work and at play.
